The Artemis Necklace
A sculptural pendant in sterling silver or mixed metal (sterling with 14k gold-filled sphere details), suspended from an 18" oxidized sterling chain or paired with gold-filled chain accents. A grounded horizontal bar anchors an inverted triangle, with a secondary inner form held in quiet tension.
The inverted triangle is one of the oldest symbols of the feminine life-giver: womb, vessel, generative force. Here, it is structured and supported by the bar above, suggesting boundary and foundation. This is not chaotic power, but disciplined strength guided by devotion.
The silhouette reads as an arrowhead-precise, steady, and intentional. The inner form echoes the draw of a bow, while a small sphere at the base marks the point of impact. Direction. Protection. Clarity.
Named for Artemis, guardian of the forest and protector of wild things, this piece carries the archetype of the Wild Woman and the Warrior: instinctual, self-trusting, deeply attuned to the natural world. It is not aggression, but guardianship.
Worn at the heart, it becomes a quiet declaration: power can be protective. Sovereignty can serve something larger than the self.
Handcrafted and made to order in my Montana studio, each piece is individually cut, formed, soldered, and finished by hand. Subtle variations in line and surface honor the living nature of the handmade process.
Foundation. Womb. Arrow. Guardian.
